Spider Veins

Spider veins are small, damaged veins that can appear on the surface of the legs or face. Spider veins occur when the valves in the veins stop working properly and allow blood to flow back. While the spider veins are what you see, they are fed by reticular veins under the skin.

Causes:

  • Prolonged standing on feet
